Lunch was an interesting lesson in homonyms. We went to a local spot called killer tacos which is very popular with regular local customers. The shop is in a small industrial complex near the dive shop so unless you are well versed in Kona culture a tourist wouldn't just happen upon it. We thought we'd grab a bite before heading out to dive later so as the kids read through the menu Darby asked what kind of meat she could put on her super nachos she had requested. I replied, "There is kalua pig, chicken or ground beef." Here eyes got pretty wide and with a hint of disgust in her voice she declared,"I don't want any beef off of the ground!" She opted for chicken super tacos instead of testing the beef.
