A Feast of Thanksgiving

We were fortunate enough to have two of my brothers and my new sisters-in-law join our family for the Thanksgiving holiday this year. Spending most of the week in preparation for the feast that we would share together on a very special day, the newest addition to our in-laws, Erica, helped me immensely by helping to research and concoct our menu. We spent a lot of time shopping for just the right ingredients, planning the perfect side dishes, and she even taught me how to make her famous pie crust which was a perfect combination of buttery tender flakiness.
The Feast
Butternut Squash Soup with Cream
Brined and Roasted Turkey
Rosemary Oven Roasted Cauliflower
Savory Spinach and Artichoke Stuffing
Sauteed Bacon and Steamed String Beans
Turkey Gravy and Whipped Mashed Potatoes
For Dessert
Spiced Apple and Pear Pie
Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie
Mystery Pecan Pie
The Outcome?
HAPPY THANK FILLED TUMMIES!!!!
