There is an eel that lives out in Garden Eel Cove that enjoys the company of the divers and mantas and plankton and fish that arrive too. He can be found wandering in and out of the divers legs, around the rocks, and sometimes he has been known to cuddle up to one diver and watch the show as well. He is about three or four feet in length or so and has cuddled up to me on more than one occasion. This picture Dennis took unfortunately is just of his mid-section because he was very quickly making his way to visit other divers. He is beautiful in color and his head is near the bottom of the photo where it is just turning that bright yellow color. That is just one of the many close encounters that we have been able to experience on this dive.
